((I think we should just make up the whole thing lol no specific plot involved))
Sakurazaki approached cautiously. Her footsteps were scarcely heard amongst the quiet chirps of the crickets. The wind gently blew on her silver hair as she grew closer and closer to the sleeping lord. She stopped a few feet away from the foot of the tree. The figure under it had begun to stir. |

Okage knew he was in a bind if they were to catch him. Being that he was wanted after his whole House had been murded, he was not about to take a chance. He opened one eye slowly, but only just a bit. He took in the figure in one glance, noteing the very uncommon hair. He then adressed her," Well, are you too here to "bring me in"?" He said in a sarcastic manner.

The girl smirked, "Perhaps, but I don't think you'll let me." She stood staring at him for a while, studying him. The crickets continued to chirp, as if amplifying the akward silence between them. Sakurazaki's hand lightly rested upon her sword, a delicate saber shaped from the purest of metals, the white ribbon that adorned its hilt glinted softly in the dim light. "But giving up without a fight, that would be too boring." She said this plainly and dully, as if it were the only obvious answer available. Her eyes swept across the young lord again. "Tell me..." She knelt down before him, her pure white robes barely trailed above the ground, "Do you wish to live? To fight for your life, through all the pains and sorrow, joys and wonders that may become of it?" Her blood red eyes swept up to his own, peering through, almost seeming to pierce through his very being.
"Do you wish to live? Or to die here, silenced by my blade? Choose wisely, young lord." |

Spencer opened his eyes all the way, the deep midnight blue color returning her stare. He look deep at her. "You think, even though I am here, you are the only other person here Eh? Did you forget that my name really does mean "belonging to shadows"? " He said, and at the same time his shadow servent, a form of a reaper, shows up behind Sakurazaki. Spencer then replys," I m nt so young lass, and I know a few tricks too. But if we are to stand off I can tell we will be here all day. Your eyes tell me you are dead tired like me, having been run all over the place tonight to try and make sense of all the attacks." He said, reminding her of the sudden chaos that had eroupted all throught the world at one instent. All the major Nobel Houses who had rule over the lands had been seen going up in smoke, and all the members being killed by strange armies from who-knows-where.

Her eyes flicked over to the reaper. "So it seems the rumors are true. But I am only a simple mercenary. Noble troubles are none of my concern." She turned to the lord. "So what will you do from here? You are right. I am tired. I do not wish to fight you right now." The white robe cloak that she wore covered her snugly but had shown wear and tear accumulated through countless battles that had occurred because of the attack, the tattered ends swayed lightly in the breeze as she thought for a moment. "I was merely asking a question. I'm just looking to avenge my lord, Lord Nalos, whom I was contracted to." Her cloak swished again as she got up and turned her back to him. "I am sorry for mistaking your age."
|

"Wait!" he said, and got up with hardly any trouble despite his weakened state. He was very fit after all. "I am sure you too have lost alot in these past few hours. But if I am correct, your Lord Nalos had a white coat of arms correct? Hence your white attire. If that is the case, then you too have just recently procured enemys from out of nowhere right? The way I see it, the world is coming to a new age, not an end, and if us elder folk are to survive we must join togather. I don't know where you are headed, but I was trying to get to the stronghold of Bane, most likely the last one of the Free World." He said, at the very last mentioning the name of the age they were, or used to, live in before the revolutionary armies had showed up.
He picked up his bag that had very little in it from his sudden flight from his estate in the Arklay mountians of Northern Russian.

Sakurazaki whirled around at the mention of her lord's name. How did he know about Lord Nalos? She listened intently on his offer. "I will be willing to join. If it'll get me closer to finding out the truth behind all of these attacks. Although the Bane stronghold...I have heard of it, but I have never been there." She pondered about why Lord Spencer would want to go there, there were other places that would serve as excellent hiding spots.

Spencer replyed while walking away, acting as if he did not care if she was coming or not, even though he was tired of living alone on the run. "I am sure you will make the best decision that your heart tells you to. And as for Bane, have you never really been there?" He said still slowly walking away, but slowing his pace to keep her voice within distance. "Well, it does not matter. I can get us in, because I now, as of five hours ago, own the place and my loyal Shadow Guard of house Spencer is waiting for me to comand them. And as I see it, you don't have any stronghold to run too do you?" He said, and then stoped waiting for her to catch up. He was almost sure she would be there at his side in a second.

She was following him very silently. "No...so I'll be following you for the time being." She was silent for a while. "Most of the Unmei house that Lord Nalos was head of has...." She paused in her steps. "perished..." Sakurazaki could not forget the numerous bodies that had surrounded the Unmei house, its pearl white interior had been scarred by the dark red blood of the nobles of the Unmei. Her saber was clenched in her hand, Lord Nalos' saber. She could not forget how he died, and how he imparted a secret to her, his most loyal bodyguard. There was rumor of a possible heir to the Unmei, a young girl who was said to have been lost to a snowstorm 16 years ago. The young mercenary shoved that issue to the back of her mind. Right now avenging Lord Nalos and following Lord Spencer is priority. She found herself looking at Lord Spencer, who seemed to be waiting for her.
"Don't think I'm going to protect you from anything, nor be your hound of any sort. I'm just coming along to reap the benefits. And that is all." She started to pick up pace again, coming behind Lord Spencer. |

He turned around and saw her griping her sword tightly. "Hmm, I see." He said lightly, and then met her eyes. "That blade has not ben yours for long has it?" He said, not really asking a question. "I see that considering your arm length and body shape that it is 22 grams too heavy for you. The hilt is and inch and a half too long for your griping length, and it is too richly made for a mear merc to own. It was.....his was it not?" He said, in a quite manner. He allowed her to come up beside and then from that day onward he walked beside her as an equal.

(lol that sounded like an end to an rp btw I will be getting off after this post, summerschool D
![]() "...." He has quite the sharp mind "I can see why you are so well respected and revered, Lord Spencer." Sakurazaki tied the saber to her back, seeing no particular reason to use it now. "Tell me..." she said this quietly. "Do you know of any connection between the attacks? Why they would possibly try to attack only the nobles? Why not the king? Or have they killed him already?" It would be good discussion whilest they walked. ((And now that I reflect on it... I think I was falling asleep during my second post, because it makes no sense now. lol)) Last edited by Sakurazaki; 7 Jun 2007 at 11:07 pm.. |

He replyed slowly. "I am no man to be respected.... But as you have asked, I fear that the king has fled, and most likely soiled his pants in the flee. I think he is no more of a king than you are a servent of men." He said, admireing her self devotion and strong will he sensed off of her. "As for the attacks, they are all connected in one way. They are all siteing the ruleing houses and in turn trying to bring into the world a state of confusion. By doing this i sense that they intend on seizing power of all the world in a swift movement that will ensure that they have complete control. And they are all wearing the house color of one person. Purple and black, and do you know who that is?"
(you can answer and make up the name. But if you catch it you will know who it is. Oh, and I know it sounded kinda like an ending but it was more of a nod to the future. See you later!)

(I don't catch who it is lol XD)
The mercenary nodded. "I see. This troubles me a bit. The people who are clothed in black and purple...they are from the Yami house. I have heard of rumors that they would do something, but I never imagined something as big as this. Although there are many names for the house. Perhaps you know them by some other name?" |

Spencer smiled, and slowly replyed. "Yes....I do. But it does not matter, for I fear they are not alone." He said, as they walked out into the dirt roadway of the forest, which ran beside a vast cornfeild. A single scarecrow was able to be seen next to a broken down wagon at the edge. "They must have had help somehow, from something not so human. And I think they are useing this force to cover the world in shadows. Not that I mind but...!!!" Just as he said, a long spear struck him in the leg, and he went down. he screamed a bit, then yanked it out. And upon closer examination they both saw that it was a sharpened stalk of......corn! Spencer looked up and gasped," The scarecrow!" He said, and then pushed Sakurazaki out of the way to avoid getting hit from another spear, this time from a diffrent scarecrow, which happened to be moving. The second spear struck Spencer in the chest.

Sakurazaki whipped out the saber and dashed forward, the white blade shone brightly as the sunlight streamed overhead. He ...saved me. I will return the favor one day. The scarecrows started to hurl more corn, the sharp stalks whizzing by. In an instant, the white blade flashed once, cutting all the stalks into neat halves. They clattered to the dusty ground. The scarecrows took that opportunity to get in closer, boxing her in with 2 more additional scarecrows. They must be controlled by magic or something. All four scarecrows wielded long stalks of corn, each as sharp as a sword. But Sakurazaki's blade was sharper and faster. One lunged at her, the stalk barely brushing her cheek, a shallow cut appearing upon her skin. The scarecrow looked down to see that his legs had been chopped off. It dropped to the ground, Sakurazaki's blade protruded out from the back of its head. "I have to finish this quickly-" Her words were cut off as she was 3 spears were brandished her way, the scarecrows had lined up hurling as many corn spears as they can at once.
"Mosor os si thasti pali." A giant inferno consumed all the scarecrows. The smell of burning straw and dark gray smoke filled the air. Moments later, the abominable scarecrows were reduced to nothing but a pile of ashes. "Tch. To think I would have to utilize the ancient language so soon." The mercenary bent over to retrieve her saber. She looked back at Spencer, healing him would prove difficult. She rushed over to his side. Her gaze swept over his wounds. I won't be able to heal much. I"ll only be able to heal his chest injury... She knelt down beside him and gently yanked out the spear. The blood had pooled around Lord Spencer, most of which was now beginning to soak into her clothes. Wordlessly, Sakurazaki gently put a hand on the chest wound. "Caer shyl." A red aura surrounded the lord, connnecting her energy into his body. At once the bleeding subsided.and the damaged tissue and muscle started to knit itself back together. In a few seconds the wound was almost completely healed. Sakurazaki shuddered as the healing sapped at her strength. This was why she had decided to use the eilaelos jhalendri, the angelic language as a last resort. The angelic language had been taught to the family members of the Unmei house. It was only by chance that she learned from her lord, Lord Nalos, these magical words. It was he who warned her to never use them except for dire need, if you didn't have enough energy to cast the spell, you could die. Sakurazaki looked down at Lord Spencer's leg wound, already the bleeding had subsided. She sighed. "I'm going to need something to bandage this up with." She took off her white cloak and tore off a tattered end. Tying a bandage up tightly would have to do for now. Her hands trembled as she clumsily wound the makeshift bandage around his leg. The healing spell itself was costly. Nearly all of her energy reserves were spent. The fire magic spell did not help at all either. She had hoped that the lord was unconscious. Peering into his face, she could tell that he was not awake yet. "He must have passed out sometime while I was battling." Getting up slowly she stood up and then pointed at the ground near the lord. "Kyrn si." A small tree grew where she pointed. It was big enough to shelter both of them from the sunlight. Sakurazaki folded her cloak into a pillow and put it under the lord's head, while she herself sat on the other side of the tree. Her saber lay against a branch that protruded off the gnarled trunk, dappled light shone through the curved branches and boughs of the tree. Sakurazaki's trained ears caught the melody of a robin not too far away. The sweet and quiet melody slowly luring her into sleep. The weariness from fighting many battles that day and from using the angelic language seeped into her being. A warm wind blew through the branches, softly stinging the cut on her cheek. But Sakurazaki paid no heed. Rest was all that she needed. A few seconds later, the young mercenary of Unmei was asleep, relieved that all was well.
