Lockx vs Ryo Misaki

It was a cold miserable rain filled day in the middle of winter on the windy sand dunes just a little bit back from the beach.

On the top of one of the dunes was a slightly taller than average young woman practicing Tai Chi, Yoga, and several forms of mixed martial arts, unlike most women in the area she was relatively flat chested with short raven black hair.

she had stripped down to a black lacy bra and some shorts, with the rest of her clothing lying under a raincoat some distance to the side along with her bag and her Katana.

The man trudged softly through the damp sand... It sank lightly under each step, but the recent drought had left the terrain dry enough or the sand to still be rather dry despite the current downpour.

He stopped momentarily, holding his hand out while looking up at the unrelenting skies. Myriads of water droplets splattered onto his glasses and into his eyes...
Despite the cold dreariness, it was still strangely beautiful to him. He loved this weather, though he could do without the rain.

He took another step, his foot sliding slightly as it landed. This is going to become rather troublesome footing soon, he thought. The rain dripped off his vibrant red hair and down his neck. He wasn't used to this feeling, since it was still not long since he cut the majority of his hair off.

He stopped for a second time, looking toward a nearby sand dune... Movement caught his eye. A figure stood atop the hill, slowly and beautifully tracing Kata amidst the rain.
Ryo sighed lightly, then looked forward again and continued his trek along the beach. Unconsciously his right hand lightly brushed against the wooden sword at his side as he walked.

The short bangs of her black hair in her eyes she twirled to a finish and decided to start paying a bit of attention to her surroundings instead of focusing solely inwards.
"I've been neglecting my most basic learnings again haven't I?" she murmered to herself in the mellow sweet honey-like voice she had developed in her youth as another weapon for her arsenal.

Slowly spinning in place she preceeded to study her surroundings thoroughly inch by inch.

"Well well, what do we have here? something aproaching delicious sexyness" she smiled a seductive malicious smile.

Moving to her stuff she pulled the katana still in its sheath from under the raincoat and proceeded to swish her way to the newcommer to the beach in a seductive skirtless way.

As he kept marching on along the beach, the movement caught his eye again... However this time only because he noticed that it was drawing closer...

'What could she want...?', he wondered inside his head...
Half of him was curious, and yet half of him didn't care.
Frankly, he just wanted to keep walking and be left alone. However an old bit of himself couldn't allow such a discourtesy.

He sighed lightly and shook his bright red bangs out of his eyes. He stopped and allowed his foot to slide outward along the sand slightly to widen his stance as he turned towards her.
Taking a small breath in, he opened his eyes and looked up at her, his mouth curving into a warm smile.

"Hello... Do you... need something?", he asked as he locked eyes with the approaching girl, paying no mind to the intentionally attractive sway in her step.

"It's not the type of weather to expect someone else on the dunes" she said in response to the disapointing coolness she heard in his voice.

"Ai came over to see who would brave the weather" she laughed after this then
"Ai was curious and somewhat bored,"

Putting on a much more seductive tone she concluded "Ai can think of much... more productive things... to be doing other than just strolling in the rain" and then a flash of something that could only be desribed as malice flashed in her eyes.

"Ai... is it?"
These words escaped his lips before he realized he was saying them... He found it a little odd that the woman spoke in the third person perspective, even if it IS Japanese.

"No... I suppose this weather isn't pleasing for most people... I don't mind it much, though. I was just looking for a good view, so I was passing through."

Never letting his eyes lose contact with hers, he subconsciously took in the surrounding details... She was, apart from the rain coat, a little under dressed. Naturally, this was the first thing that caught his attention... Then again, with a rainstorm like this, one probably wouldn't want to be soaked... However he didn't care much about that himself, and therefore, was drenched.
The second thing to pique his interest was the katana in her hand... Undoubtedly for kata, he surmised.

Her jet black hair stirred a few memories deep within his soul, but like most everything else not important, he pushed them far away from concern.

"Boredom... can be a dangerous thing...", he muttered softly.

Though her seductive tone and rather provocative statement would have sent most men over the end... Once again, it fell upon uninterested ears. It's not that she was unattractive, by any means... Nor that he didn't have interest in women... Just that he held high standards and preferred to choose his own fancies.
However, what did get him was the look in her eyes... Despite her words, her eyes conveyed a very different message. And that alone was enough to set something stirring in his soul... Something that felt much like a challenge. And something within him, something he knew very well what was, wanted nothing more than to meet it.

Though despite this, he himself wanted no part in it.
"I'm sorry... I have other things to do. Though, you should be cautious... Most men wouldn't think twice about taking advantage of an offer like that.", he said with a little smile.

"Take care in this rain, though... You might catch a cold unless you are properly dressed.", he said casually, sliding his foot back slightly.
He spun away lightly on his heel and continued walking as before.

After a couple steps he raised his hand in a bit of a nonchalant wave... "The name's Misaki, by the way...", he called out without looking back at her, "Ryo Misaki. It was nice meeting you."

And with that he returned to what he had first intended.
...though somehow he couldn't help but feel that this wouldn't end at that...

Very surprised that this Misaki fellow could resist her charms she stood shocked for several moments.

"Huh?" she exhaled to herself in a state of confusion she had never known before.

Then thinking over what Ryo had said she realised that he had mistaken her way of saying 'I' to be her name.

"Hey wait! my name isn't ai!" she ran a few steps after him and said quietly her true name, yet another new experience she had experienced this day.

"It's Kiyori, ... Kiyori Aelis"

Then wondering at the almost kindred spirit she had briefly glimpsed in the moment she had briefly let down her mental walls she realised that he did not seem to want to be amongst any form of company or to pay any attention to her.
thinking deep in her mind 'He tried to ignore me before... I can't allow that.' she decided to act

Shucking the raincoat she drew her katana and threw aside the sheath as she leapt forward with a two handed overhead attack while aiming the attack to only slice the back of his clothing.

The steps were almost too quiet to hear amidst the rain, as was the quiet words she said almost under her breath... But Ryo had been wary after leaving the girl, so he had anticipated the sound of her attack.

He slid his left foot forward across the sand as he brought his right hand to the wooden bokken strapped to his right side. He pulled it straight upwards as he turned to face the oncoming woman... However what wasn't in his plans was the effect of the terrain.
The sand slowed his spin... worse yet, it gave in to his weight causing his foot to sink in as it twisted along the loose earth.

The tip of her Katana caught the trailing edge of his black shirt just before the wooden sword pressed against the flat edge of her katana, pushing the slash away from him.
Sliding his left foot back inwards, he stepped it back out again, this time towards her as he used the remaining momentum of his spin to guide her attack out of his way.

He stepped in close and brought his face close to hers.
In almost a whisper he spoke, "Kiyori...? Such a beautiful name..."

Instinctively his free left hand moved swiftly to palm strike her in the exposed side, but Ryo stopped himself before it connected.
He pushed off with his right foot to jump back, but the sand ate the majority of his force and he nearly slipped.
Quickly recovering, he stepped backwards quickly, holding his bokken loosely at his right side...

"...what do you want from me? I said I was leaving...", he asked, catching his breath.

(Forgive me if that was complicated at all... ^_^ It's late, and I'm tired. )

Shocked yet again she stumbled back a few steps.
"Ai have never heard that said of my name..." she whispered to herself

Then in a louder voice she said
"What do Ai want from you? Ai just wanted your attention... Ai don't llike being ignored... yet after the way you moved like phyical poetry Ai find myself wanting to see What you are capable of, and how much Ai lack..." she trailed off almost incomprehensibly.

Moving into one of the many combat stances she knew she prepared to truly enjoy herself for the first time in years. Being a solatary soul herself she understood Ryo's need to be alone but having analysed the reaction she had briefly glimpsed she new that, like her, he had a spirit that lusted and loved combat.

"...Ryo..." she sighed.
"Ai can tell you are one that loves combat... fight me..."
then almost pleading she added a word she almost didn't realise had come from her "...please"

'And if he doesn't' -she thought to herself hoping that she didn't have to- 'I shall have to force him to'

He paused and blinked for a moment... Was she... pleading?
A strange feeling panged in his chest... But he shook it away.
He brought himself to a casual standing once again... He eyed his bokken, then looked up at the girl before him who had now assumed a fighting position.

Ryo sighed audibly and closed his eyes.
"You want... Me to spar with you?", he asked.
It was a simple request... And to be honest, she was right... He loved the feeling of fighting.
But there was a problem here... Perhaps what Ryo considered his only weakness, perhaps next to being too kind at times.

He looked up once again at the rain, then back across at her.
"I'm sorry...", he said, shaking his hair lightly... His wet red hair swaying gently with the movement. He shook his bokken off and returned it to the loop at his side.
"I don't mean to ignore you... And please don't mistake me as arrogant, but I can't fight you."

Ryo bowed deeply, and turned away again, giving one last look back.
"I apologize."

He walked away from the woman again.

The thought of leaving her standing alone in the rain left a bad taste in his mouth. And he hated having to refuse such a sincere request... But he preferred that to the alternative. He simply couldn't bring himself to fight a girl... He'd never be able to forgive himself for such a thing.
