Maikeya (Signup and introduction)

First of all, this is an RP with most focus on living, exploring and improving. It will not contain as much fight as many other RP's do, on the other hand, it will allow the players to explore a world that "moves" and allow them to find things and understand things, because of new information, by exploring the world and talking to people etc etc etc.
There is no evil demon army coming to kill you, there are no epic legendary monster that you must kill, basically. There is no real "goal" in this RP. However, there are a lot of things going on all the time, and many of them will happen probably without the players noticing, and suddenly something new has happened. If this is the kind of RP you like, read on.

The current situation:
It is the seventh year of the Laida dynasty, and it seems that the majority has finally accepted the reunion of the Maeki folk and the Kyame folk. The king of both people is the young and quiet maekenian, Heiyo Laida. He became the king after a long and exhausting battle between the two dominating families; Laida and Kyperida. The fact that the kyperida family lost, was hard for many kyameians to accept, because whereas the kyperida was a family with both maekenians and kyameians, the Laida was one of the few remaining maeki only families, normally referred to as Maemidas. Being a peace wanting family, the kyperidans accepted their defeat, if the Kyame and Maeki folk would become equal. The laida family accepted this proposal, and after an internal voting, Heiyo became the king. Only a few know about the results of the voting, but rumour has it that the voting did not go as intended.

The Families:
One of the most important things in Maikeya, especially in the Maeki dominated regions, is one's kin. This is because the land as a whole used to be divided in to small regions belonging to certain families, naturally this caused a lot of wars, and many families lost their regions, leaving now only a few families with regions left. Though the land belongs to the king, it is very normal to see the big families dominate their respective areas. The methods vary a lot, and some families are even claimed to have special alliances with the king, in order to allow a brutal and strict upholding of their laws in their areas. There is only one Kyame family claimed to have such alliance, all the others are Maekenian. There are 12 families with regions left.

Maekians:
Having the ancestral roots in a land only known of through stories and tales, they see themselves as halfgods and their appearance could best be compared to the High Elves (note the High Elves do not exist in Maikeya, but they are just used as a reference.) Despite of the fact that the kyameians are the dominating folk in Maikeya, they are without doubt the folk that is doing best. Excelling in art, music, politics and many other "civilized" things, they tend to often see the kyameians as the folk created to be workmen or slaves. A lot of the art they maekians make resembles or has it's roots in the land they claim to originate from; Aem. It is a common dream among the maekians to return to this wonderful land.

Kyameians:
The kyameians are a more rough and dark skinned people than the maekians. They do not care much for big cities and buildings, but focus more on nature. Being supressed by the maekians and maekian kyameians (Kyameians who act like Maekis to be accepted by the Maekis. Many kyameians do this to get a job and survive), their own art and music is not often heard of, and kyameian art and music is not well liked at the universities or other places to study music or art in the big cities. They have always lived in Maikeya, referred to as Yamen by themselves, and many kyameians dream about living in the Yamen before the Maekians came.

I will post more story and introduction, this is just an appetizer for now. Also, please try and do this "music" thing and comment it, it is the first time I try it, and I would like to know how well it works.
Also, the plan right now is that the RP is going to consist of 4 people, two maekians and two kyameians, these may or may not know of each other. That will be decided later on.

I will write the character sheet at the end of this post.. But first a smaller introduction to the religious and political systems. And the language

Religion:
In Maikeya, there is no real God or spirits or stuff. However overall there is a force that makes sure that things stay in balance. It is what you could call Gaia, a force that upholds a balance in the nature. A few Kyameians choose to worship nature, but until know, it hasn't done anything special for them

Politics:
In Maikeya the political parties, are represented as families. There is a council meeting between all the leaders of each family, with region that is, who meet and discuss that is going on. This council make the laws and judges. However the law is upheld by no one in particular. If you break the law, no one is going to arrest you. But anyone can take it up with the council and they will decide based on a trial, if you should be punished or not. The council is gathered in smaller groups of 3 every day.

The language:
There are smaller dialects that will be explained to you when you choose a region and race, but generally, I will try and explain some of the fundaments of Maikeyan pronounciation and writing. Note this will not enable you to speak the language, but to, for instance, know how to make up a name.
The vowels:
The language primarily consist of 4 vowels, however there are five characters.

This is because of the character "&" (this is of course not how it really looks, but I just used it as an reference to not confuse with a comparison to a language)
This character can either be the I or the J sound. If it is followed by a vowel, it is going to be pronounced as a J (Maikeya)
If it is followed by a consonant, it will be pronounced as an I (Symo)
There is a special case if it is followed by an I sound. (Myiamo)
In this case the J would be written with the character & and the I would be written with a special character only used in that exception. I hope this make sense to everyone

The only special rule is that PR will also have a vowel in between them, ex. Pera, and you cannot write a p or an r on their own, they need to go together, and have a vowel between them...
That is it.. The consonant sounds are the normal english ones...

Background: Isis grew up in a very typical Maekin family and society, he was born into the upperclass, with rich parents and all, he's named after the word Arise, like the rising sun, the rising warriors etc.. In the society the Kyameian was threated as slaves and Isis didn't like it, through is 16 years with the Laida family. And as Isis got older he slowly started to figur a plan. on his 16th birth early in the morning he ran off from hs home leaving the upperclass life behind him. as he started to walk not knowing where to go he suddenly realised what he had done, with his past he wasn't prepared for the road. Neither did he want to return to his former family. He decided to keep going, after 5 rough days of running from Heymen that jugded him on his clothes and startving in the woods, he passed out. when he woke up he was surrounded by medic men. he later found out a couple of merchants picked up his dead like corpse and took it to Kipiri in the Pyramo region. He was served food to regain strantgh ad when thay asked where he was from he just told them He suffered from brain tumor and couldn't remember, after getting out of the medic house, he sold what he owned, his clothes and got some dark leather like clothes. He also bought a short iron short sword and all kind of different lockpicks. and for over a year he lived a rouges life, learning to survive and pick open doors. Skilled in sneaking but not in fightin. He had never slain a man, but treated several.

About your name leech, there is always a vowel after a consonant... You need to add a vowel at the end of your name.. Isisa or something.

Here is a rough map of the country. Note that the regions are not changed because of the family, families may live in more than one region, but there is only one region that they "dominate"...

Background: at the age of 2 he and his mother got caught in a storm on their way from the mainland. His mother kept him alive and was able to bring him safly to shore where she died of exhaustion a few hours later he was found by a small local Kyameian famely at the age of six he was abandond by them for reasons beyond his knowledge and he maneged to survive alone for 7 years in the river Delta of Siya, he taught himself to catch Fish and at them raw he also learned quick wich plants where eateble and wich where poiseness this caused him to be sick for the first few weeks but after that he got along nicly. but he was discoverd and recognized by an Hya explorer as the son of his mother and brought back to his home. there after 8 years of uknown luxiory, he decided to go after his dad who had been missing ever since he went looking for his son 18 years ago...
