Maverick smiled at Sakurazaki's words over the comm channel, "I'm not playing at anything. I just don't want to kill you is all." he replied cheerfully. "I can promise you that you will be treated respectfully and I won't let you be used as a bargaining chip. Just exit your mobile suit now or I'll be forced to come down there and pull you out if need be." With that, he closed off the comm channel so that she would know that there would be no further discussion.

This was perhaps the best way, he didn't want to kill her and would rather take her into custody then leave her stranded. Sighing, he waited for her to get out of her mobile suit as he checked his monitors to make sure no more surprises where in store for him.

Pull me out if need be? Sakurazaki twitched in annoyance. This guy was odd but she had little choice but to follow his directions. She carefully opened the cockpit, and was face to face with the mech that had beaten her. She crossed her arms as she waited for Maverick to pick her up. This was the last thing I was expecting when I came out here.

As Sakurazaki stepped outside of her cockpit, Maverick smiled and switched to GERWALK mode as he brought his YF-19 down to where she stood until his cockpit was before her. Popping the canopy, he nodded to the seat behind him and smiled at her. "Welcome to the Veritech Express, Ms. Sakurazaki." he said as he began to set a course to where he left his fold boosters.

"Please don't try anything funny by the way, that would be a one-way ticket stranded out here. Though I might add, I really don't want to do that."

Rei sighed. "I guess that I can't use this then?" In her hand was a knife, which she stowed away back in her pocket. Really wish I had grabbed a gun or something back in the hangar bay. She took a look through the cockpit at Akatsuki, which was still floating silently in space. "Listen. I appreciate the lift and all, but my mech is still operational. I can most likely pilot it myself to where ever you are taking me. The Akatsuki is my personal gundam, and is ...." Sakurazaki trailed off. "Nevermind." I shouldn't be letting my guard down yet.

Maverick rolled his eyes as she put away the knife, "Well that's nice." he said with a sigh as he listened to her worries about her mech. "I'm sorry Ms. Sakurazaki, but I'm sure your people will come for it later as soon as they send out a party to look for you." Looking down, he checked his time and saw that it'd only been half an hour after they'd started battling.

Looking back up to her he gave an exasperated sigh, "I'm sorry but please get in and come with me since I have questions to ask and don't want you pulling anything else in your mobile suit. Also, I was wondering if you had anything else for me to call you by then Sakurazaki?" he asked in a cheerful tone.

"......" This guy is odd. Sakurazaki got into Maverick's mech and studied it carefully. "You can call me Rei." She folded her arms across her chest and sat. "I can see why I had trouble with you. Your .....mech.......is different from a gundam." She quickly added. "Normally I could have defeated you easily." She looked at the Akatsuki once again, the head was really battered and bit of the destroyed dragoon were floating around. God this is going to come off my paycheck. Turning to Maverick she barked, "Well are we going or not. Who knows when I'll call my Orb friends right?"

"Alright Rei," Maverick said from the front as he closed the canopy to the cockpit. He laughed when she said she could defeat him easily, "I'm pretty sure you could of, I guess it was just luck of the draw." he replied cheerfully as he pushed the thruster forward gently as they began to move. Pressing one of the buttons on his panel, his YF-19 transformed into Fighter mode and began to speed forward.

"Your a might pushy person for a captive you know that?" he asked cheerfully as his fighter sped toward the far side of the moon where he had removed the booster system.

"I didn't really ask to be a captive." Rei shot back. Sure she was annoyed and perhaps a bit sore over getting beaten on a mission. Sakurazaki had gotten through many different situations in battle, although none as bogus and weird as this. Although I wonder how this will turn out. For better? Or for worse? She couldn't help but notice that Maverick had been quite friendly. "Oy. Do you really treat your captives this well? Or are you a rookie of some sort? A lax private perhaps?"

Maverick laughed from his seat as they approached the booster system. As he docked with the booster he smiled, "I wouldn't know Rei, your the first one I've ever taken captive. Also I might note that your the first female pilot I've done battle with, I think..." he replied with a small laugh.

"I'm no rookie though, I'm an Ensign." he said with another laugh. Finishing the docking procedure, Maverick entered the coordinates to Earth and pushed the thrusters forward. "Well here we go Rei!" he yelled as he hit the fold button and dissapeared in a flash of light.

"Ensign Maverick?" Rei was puzzled. Surely with such skill he would be a bit higher rank? Just my luck to be beaten by a rank lower than I. Folding was new to Sakurazaki, she was taken aback when he pushed the fold button. She had noticed it earlier but it had slipped her mind to ask what it did.

Maverick closed his eyes as he was pushed back into his seat from the powerful G forces as he folded close to Earth's atmosphere. As the forces pushing him down began to gradually decrease, Maverick opened his eyes and sat up as he began going over a systems check. "Everything is good, we'll be entering Earth's atmosphere in 30 seconds." he said aloud as he flipped a few switches on the dashboard and began to adjust his speed accordingly.

"We'll be heading straight to North America, I hope you don't mind." he said with a small laugh as he did a small barrel roll and began to enter the Earth's atmosphere. "Here we go."

Rei held on tight, she wasn't used to the force that was put upon her by the mech traveling really fast. North America huh? She know knew where the base of this UN was located. Maybe being a hostage wasn't so bad. She could easily gather up information to send to Orb.

It was at that moment Maverick did a barrel roll. Rei was caught off gaurd as she was thinking of her plan to escape if the enemy base proved to be a problem. She gripped onto Maverick's chair even harder.
