[SFC] about the prefixes

My plan is:

- the pink of Shinobu's Cabot hoodie for the Shinobu Brigade

- the green of Shinobu's Cabot hoodie (a more military-like color) for Her Kawaiiness' Secret Service

- the dark color (dark blue?) of Shinobu's date outfit (LHm IX:76) for the shared threads (the smallest group of threads would be marked with the color Shinobu did not wear daily).

Other ideas and reasonings?

I'd go more towards colours that stand out against all the themes we use on here.

Green and pink seem fine, but a dark blue? Against a dark blue/black set of backgrounds? Maybe rethink that one.

What I'd need from you is what sort of colours and formatting you want from each. I can set up prefixes with basic text formatting - colours, bold, italics, underline - and I also need what you want them to say.

At the moment (seeing as I thought you'd only need two) we've got [SB] and [HKSS] set up. I'll set up the umbrella/'both' prefix once we've decided what we're going to call the overall Brigade subforum we're moving to

I was sorta thinking about a shade that still appears as a "dark" blue in this context, like the darkest part of the Quote button. But yeah, you're right.

Maybe I should give up my manga purism for a moment and say, "the white of Shinobu's seifuku?"

Styles? I thought we only had one here on AnimeB, and he is a yellow.

Seriously though, bold could be good for HKSS and SB.

The umbrella prefix... The name of the subforum has been discussed briefly, and once again, we are more or less waiting for Randompanzy's answer.

well, I'll need hex codes for the colours you want I don't mind you having blue ones, but it might not show up properly unless we get the right shade.

gets you a yellow and italic name. Not too complex.

i like the green and pink idea. maybe a white for both of them? i dont think we need anything outside of the colors though ^^

as for the name of the combined group thats still in progress but you can enable the green and pink now though hina ^^

btw what was the naming thread i know i saw i name i liked but i cant find the thread anymore :s

My warmest thanks to both of you.

I have tried prefixing for the first time today. It will be an interesting job, but not a fast one. Many questions arise now that I am learning to handle new tools.

For example, is it all right to consider the threads related to the Shinobu Quiz "common property"? They have been done under the HKSS for a long time, but especially today they are about basic promotions for all SB and HKSS members, right? All members, feel free to comment.

I think this discussion about prefixes itself is definitely a "common" topic.

Enough research and prefixing for today.

As regards systematic work, I have reached the Shinobu Fansites thread on page 2 of the SB subforum. The threads without prefixes until that point are intended to be "common". (In addition, I prefixed some random threads for the sake of testing and exploration.)

The editing itself is so easy it makes me yawn. What takes more time is trying to understand what some threads are about, in order to judge whether they should be labeled "common" or not. I am still working on my own fuzzy guidelines. The good thing about this is I get more insight into the history of the SB.

Referring to this, I would say (most of) the quiz threads are "common".

I am waiting... My personal order of preference right now is:

1. Shinobu Fan Union
2. The Shinobu Brigade & H.K.S.S.
3. Shinobu Fanforce

I would go with any of the above, and probably more.

BTW never forget the Shinobu Fan Cartel (TinSFC)!

Bump!

I just finished prefixing the SB subforum. All topics without a prefix are to be "common property".

Many of the SB threads include HKSS references or material, and at first I had a hard time deciding what should go where.

Then I decided to judge the borderline cases in favor of the SB. The point about the HKSS, more or less, is that their agents are everywhere, even if you do not notice them. Yes, some are even in the Su Republic, constantly struggling to stay undercover regardless of the watchful eyes and ultra-high-tech equipment of the Molmolian counterintelligence! So it is only natural that HKSS activities are prominent in areas controlled by The Shinobu Brigade.

An extreme example is the "who has a cursh [sic!] on shinobu" thread, which became a whomping ground and, finally, pretty much a thread promoting the HKSS.

Next I will move on to the HKSS subforum. Finding any more SB threads is highly unlikely. Instead, I know some "common property" is stored there.

During the process, I have read through several old SB threads and skimmed through most of the rest. My picture of early SB history has changed quite a bit, yet there would still be so much to learn...
