I used to love Shinobu so much it bordered on obsession. I had to cool down: cancel all my Shinobu-related art and writing projects, limit my kissing of her pictures to a few times a week, and even put my reading of the manga on hiatus to keep my thoughts away from her. Now I love her in a more healthy way, but she's still on my mind. It was a long time before my girlfriend was able to excite me the way Shinobu did. I was starting to worry no real girl could make me happy.

Crush on Shinobu?! Hell No! You can't protect her fully if you have a crush on her...
How do you think Shinobu would act if 20 Men-in-black had a crush on her, and were just waiting to do you-know-what... I don't think she would feel so safe anymore..  But, yeah, I like her character personality and I would fall in love with a girl that was like her irl. Ken Akamatsu did a great work here I must admit!

NO! If I had a crush on Shinobu, I'd be part of the dead with Marines mourning over my rotting corpse because I died when I lined up a perverted enemy of Shinobu on my crosshairs and I hesitated because a filthy crush got in the way of my line of sight, giving him time to kill me.  I didn't join the HKSS because I "loved" Shinobu, I joined because her gentle innocence must be protected, so that she may live to spread her benevolence. While I, in her defense, take 100% of the body-wrenching pain for her. There's a difference between love and duty. I will fight through the worst of whatever horrors are thrown at the HKSS, so that Shinobu's kawaiiness shall always shine through. Semper Fidelis ut Shinobu (Always Faithful to Shinobu).

Always Faithful BobCat, Always Faithful. See, Love is only temporary, but duty is eternal. This is shown by SIH's TEMPORARY but intense interest in Shinobu, but I'll stay in the HKSS until I get in the USMC, which is in a few years, but duty will always keep me here in the HKSS. I'll be fighting real terrorists in a few years.
Anyways, the guy who started the thread, do you know his current "interests" now??
