lol... We have these little Customer Surveys called "CSI".
They are randomly given to guests, who call them in, take the survey, then get a code for $3 off their meal.

Anyway, as a Host, I would take all the CSI that were left on tables by guests. (Because you'd be surprised how lazy people are to call them in. )
I'd then call them in (from my cell phone. And here lied the mistake) and either use them, or give them to friends.

Well... apparently there's a call log.. That your number gets recorded on when you call. (To prevent abuse. )
It seems that in April of 2005, I had 28 calls IN A ROW from my cell phone.

I get a call from the Area Director one morning... and he interrogates me.
He says that it was 'stealing' and 'unethical'. He talked to our local manager, and had me terminated the next day. (The local managers didnt care, and didnt want to see me go, but as the order came from above, nothing could be done.)

A couple weeks later (after school finals), I decide to contest. I found that there was NOTHING in the Company Handbook nor in any future memorandums that an employee could NOT call in a CSI.
I talked to the guy ABOVE the Area Director... (Yay Corprate Ladder!)
Talked to him... and he agreed.
The next day... I had my job back. =P

And thus, is the Apple Legend of the Given who Couldnt be Fired.

...from that day... I've never called another CSI.
...I still take them and use them or give them to friends... But I write random numbers on them, since they're never 'verified'.

Ah, my bad... I assumed too much.
The CSI is an extra printed peice on the guest's check/bill.
On it, there's instructions and a 1-800 number.

You call the number, and you get an automated voice bot that asks you questions about your experence at the restaurant, and you rate it on a scale of 1-7. (7 is best. They ask questions based on Satisfaction, Speed, Friendliness, Knowledge, Correctness, etc.)

When you're done with the survey, it gives you a code. (In the format of "AB##", in which the last two are numbers.)

You write it down in the little box at the bottom of the paper, and bring it back in next time for $3 off your meal. =P

I don't accuse staff members just because they're staff. I only accuse them when they do something wrong. Only about 5 CURRENT staff members have been accused of wrongdoing.

My opinion? There are 5 staff that are bad, 2 are awesome, and the rest I have a neutral opinion on (mainly due to insufficient information, as I don't monitor all of them)
