We're predicting a score for the winning team, not the losers. I don't think we should be rewarded if we pick 3-0 for team A, but the team B just happens to win 3-0

Its in the rules! Not saying it wasn't, just questioning while I was off not doing work

hinarei has much to be proud of

you're not rewarded for picking the right score and not team.

*le sigh*

If you pick the correct winning scoreline but to the wrong team's favour, you don't win or lose anything o_O

How hard is this to understand, Shira? it's all detailed in the bet thread. Am I really not getting through?

I'm rewarded by not losing my money for picking the wrong team

I understand what goes on currently, I'm just saying it seems funny

maybe it does, but that's the way we're doing it

Others can run funnier systems than mine. I haven't heard anyone else find problems with it, yet

Can't give out points at the moment cos Style's turned vBplaza off to check things, but there's points to be dished out now.

Reason I've given staffers the pass (hint to other staffers ) is so they can update the bet thread using Caster

well, I've been doing all the edits so far, as either Caster or me selo and above can edit the thread directly, and anyone who's got the password can log in as Caster

edit: I've gone through and dished out points (thanks to whoever updated the winnings list), even taking away my 4000 points loss on the 17th I suck terribly

wish I could... always seems to pan out not-quite-exact-opposite to what I predict... I'm not much of a gambler, only betting with what I can afford to lose

So, anyone else than me looking forward to the Spain - Italy match today? I think it'll be a great match, hopefully as good as many of the previous ones we've seen Italy's defence is looking a little shabby with both the usual stoppers out with quarantine after yellow cards... And with Villa and Torres as strikers Spain might get a couple of goals ^^ On the other hand Italy's been getting better and better, and Spain often falters when it matters most... Also - seems Spain hasn't beat Italy in an official match since 1920 XD

lots of ifs and buts, wålf! I just like watching the games Be nice if I could win a few points too though This might be the best quarter on paper, too

Suspensions are handled differently, in this one. Anyone with a single yellow has their record wiped clean after the quarters, so that's handy

always is in football, hina. And that's the great part about it; you never know who'll take it home Been a great match so far! And Spain is looking at pretty good, but so is Italy XD Buffon nearly let that one shot in, though O.o

But I has question for great bookmaker-sama! If a match is decided by a penalty shoot-out, how do you calculate the score? You just add the penalties to the previous score? (e.g. if Spain-Italy ends 0-0 after 120 minutes and we've got a penalty shoot-out, Spain scores 3 (misses 1), Italy scores 1 (misses 2/3), is the score then 3-1, or do you consider the score is 0-0 (and the winner is the winner of the penalties?)?)

EDIT: Luvz teh Spain ^^ 0-0 after 120 minutes, 4-2 on penalties Shame, hina... You were quite honest admitting you're not a great gambler...

I don't know, really. Hadn't budgeted for penalites... in a European Championships

In some competitions - though, to my knowledge, not at international level - the score is recorded as a single goal victory for the team winning the shootout. Mostly though, I've found after looking round many sites of popular betting establishments in the UK, penalty shootouts don't count in scorer markets and usually bets are settled on the score after normal time.

Now, I've taken a mixture (quite stupidly...) If you pick a team that wins (by any means, you get the double stake win. I've not given trebles out for correct scores after extra time, but have given doubles out to winning teams after extra time/penalties.

Does that help?
