hinarei has much to be proud of

Handball and table tennis have their fans too, Z, I don't doubt that

I have cable but the Olympics were mainly carried on the BBC (a terrestrial channel). There were a lot of other sports broadcast on EuroSport tho'

Ai Fukuhara?

US is the only country to display the medal table by total medals won. Everywhere else counts golds to get the order.

Oh dear, an Olympic thread full of Americans...

No offence, but I really find overly patriotic attitudes to minor sports ... a little disagreeable.

Still, didn't we do well this year? I enjoyed the cycling!

That's the name, hina And I was so looking forward to seeing her compete in Table Tennis, too.... ><

Ah but anyways, I stick to my original statement - 'twas good while it lasted, and congrats to the Chinese for their showing

So what's more significant - amount of medals or amount of gold?

I still think that Swimming guy lost in the Butterfly. That was way too close (the guy who eats like 25,000 calories a day)

That swimming guy? HIS NAME IS MICHAEL PHELPS! You don't even know his NAME?!?![/fangirl rant] (yeah, that's a joke people )

I found it funny that in the 800 free (right after the 100 fly), they kept showing the replay of the 100 fly. It was like "Well, there aren't any americans in this race, so here's Michael Phelps again!"
