hinarei has much to be proud of

he didn't pull that bad a drive at all today. The Ferrari just had the better run at things and it could have been a better day for the team had Massa not stalled.

Raikkonen had the better strategy. Hamilton's did not work out in the slightest and he fell away badly in the second part of the race. Still, what with the points he gained from the race he's still in a very healthy position. And that's 9 consecutive podiums for him.

The real test will be when the Ferraris really start ganging up on the McLarens. When things start going wrong for Hamilton we'll see how good he and his team is

Nice to have someone flying the flag again after more than ten years

I predict things will be tense at Nurburgring, provided there are no problems for the top four.. but how often does THAT happen?

Hamilton thought he was clever and tried the fuel strategy, but it backfired on him when kimi shunted him : )

Nurburgring is always tense, especially in the wet. its a pity that nowadays F1 drivers dont really push themselves to the extreme limit, you should watch the wet lap that jackie stewart did when he took the F1 champ title.. brilliant race !!! he was sliding everywhere and still pushing for a best laptime round after round.

The problem with Nurburgring though.... crappy opportunities for overtaking.

One a 2 mile course another a massive 12 mile open course you pay to drive around in your own car!

Hamilton still kept up on the podium, if he does keep this consistent he can be in a good position to go for the title...

These days, only the smaller circuit is referred to as Nurburgring. The monster track is Nordschleife.

I think the drawback of F1 is the fact races take so long. If you are tired you could aswell fall asleep ^^;; Football is probably more lively and cool to watch. I have to say though that the start is exciting and a few races can really be fought to the end.

If you are a diehard fan, then the length of races are not a problem. F1 races are not as long as some others anyhow, such as those ungodly long NASCAR races. Hillbillies driving in circles for half the day, wonderful.

And then there is Le Mans... haha..

Races last about the same as a football match, most last between 1:20 and 1:40 (They can only race for 2 hours) and Football lasts for 90 Minutes (+ IT, ET and Pens if needed)

Nascar is probably only interesting because they have more cars and some spectatular crashes... they go on all night at least 300-500 laps but thats because the laps are about less than a minute long

F1 has it over NA(F)SCAR, it really depends on how dominant the lead drivers are...

yes sure... but unless a car has the chance to attack another one or the start... it can get boring ^^;;; but that's my opinion.
In soccer matches (yes I meant soccer, not american football) actions last minutes and usually is not the same as the next. It's just a matter of variety

(I'm not a diehard sport fan to begin with hehe)

if you think F1 is boring then you should try either the Touring Car Championshop or Le Man, IMHO those are far more intense and more focused.

F1 nowadays are pretty bland if you are after the overtaking and the crashes.

The Touring cars only do 15/30 laps and Lemans is on for 24 hours... but they are a little less worried about smashes that F!

hinarei has much to be proud of

the length of races are not a problem. 90 - 120 minutes with ad breaks for getting coffee, crisps and Coke is nothing too strenuous

true, there may not be 'action' at all points in the GP, but it's well worth watching. Not worth actually going to see though, as all you see is the odd car dopplering by you every two minutes

Ugh... sawwwwwwwkerrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

naah, you are missing out big time mate. i wouldnt advise for you to watch something like silverstone GP etc... but its worth a look at LeMans A1GP (YAY!) and maybe BTCC. Pick the ones are done on closed city courses and i can gurantee you that you will see lots of overtaking and corner battls. Being a smaller track, you will also see more race cars.

its definetely worth a look, if you have the spare cash that is... tickets are quite expensive : (
