Well I'm a archer i wondered if any of you ppl have tried to be a archer or just want to learn more about it? Its a rly relaxing sport but u also have to focus at the target ^_^ Since I'm used to be a stressed person i found this sport and it rly helped me relax a lot more.

I have tried it a couple of times, and not yet hit a gold except by accident, on someone else's target

I don't know, but my puny little arms may not have been strong enough to fire/aim the bow I was in fact holding

well there are alot of difference on what bow u are using... ^_^

have tried it, im not very good with a longbow or shortbow, but i am good with a crossbow, as it is very like rifle shooting, which i practise a lot

But seriously, I would give it more than a try.. it's just my school didn't offer it in classes..

I use a compound bow (dont rly know how to spell it

) But its made from Titanium and such easy metal that dont weight much. Its a bit hard to pull the string the first 10 cm but after that it feels like u can hold the string for 1 year

Thats the special about compound bows.... u got more time to concentrate about u aim and breath.

I was firing a longbow at the time, so I guess it's not surprising I had trouble with it

Really got medieval on those targets

yeah actually i went and shot some arrows with my buddy the other day. we found some bows in his basement with some arrows. we accidentally dinged up a car :/

U know just to carry one of those bows i use u need some papers on u can control it. Its a killer weapon ^_^ serious I hit some wood once and the arrows just couldn't be pulled out :S

I assume you use a bow that had a stabilizer on it? =\

I once made a bow myself.. Not to shabby aswell. Never thought it would work though. It was after reading a comic where they'd made a bow out of a really hard to bend branch and woven tree bark.. I spended the entire day on it, also made the arrows, and it went pretty well. Though I was sore all over my body the next three days.. That self made bow was really hard to fire. And in the end the string sprung and I didn't want to make a new one. After weaving for four hours and spending twenty minutes getting the string actually on the bow.. No thank you.

Never shot a proffesional bow though, like to try it once.

I haven't been for ages. I suppose I must've been using a junior version of a shortbow, though. I enjoyed it though, and I seem to remember being pretty good. I'd like to go back and have a proper try at it.

I learned how to use a Compound and Recurve bow a while back at a Boy Scouts summer camp. I enjoyed it so I decided to continue after camp and got used to firing a Longbow. Shortly after that I got my own personal Longbow and have been shooting for a fair amount of time now. I'm a fairly good shot as well.

I did archery in cubs rather than scouts, and I was probably so young that my attention span didn't want me to carry on, even if I did enjoy it.

While I have never been able to do much in the way of archery, I have always been fascinated by it.

Horse Bows

This is a nice site talking about recurve bows for sale. I have never had enough pennies to rub together to purchase a bow(let alone a horse, stable, and tack). However I would love to be experienced at horse-archery.

:S Horse archery Sounds funny actually. Still i prefer to original just u and the bow... a yellow dot (About 2,5cm in Diameter) and the heartbeating (I'm not sure its called that) when I'm in that stance i feel like I'm in a other universe and all the ages of the earth are passing by... its a really wonderfull position. Suddently its like the time are going backwards while i fire the arrow and boom I'm in the real world again... I dont know if u every tried that but u can say I'm getting high when i shot with my bow ^_^

Well actually back then I remember taking archery, not horse archery though, I just could't really focus while on a horse. But anyway I found archery to be more stressful than relaxing, wow was it tough for me! Makes me glad I chose the sword and lance instead! But archery is still fun, I'd consider trying to become a archer I guess, heh.
