The playoff sysmtem's always seemed both confusing and useless to me... I tried to keep up with some Icehockey this year, but it was just totally lame with the playoffs, so I dropped it...

It's been a while, though... But I agree, a league is way more prestigious than a cup. Everyone can get lucky in a cup, and some might be very unlucky. In a league a team needs to keep up their best through an entire season.

Never mind, I'm sure you'll win the league within your living memory at some point. Same goes for me.

Sadly, not for me
![]() Fifa are set to back the player quota proposal... y'know, the one that says more than half your starting team has to be of native origin Qualified to play for the country's national team ![]() This on a day that it's been reported that English player numbers last season were the lowest in Premier League history. The only conclusion we can reach from these reports is that the footballing world is out to destroy Arsenal and Arsene Wenger's transfer market policy ![]() |

Enough English league talk. I think our next topic of discussion should be the Euro
.Hmm, I somehow think either Germany, France or Italy will win it this time ![]()

Spain are usually touted as potential winners. Similar to a bunch of other countries, they appear to generate a few stars every so often, but never really have great teams.
I can see the usual countries in line, as you've said, selo: Germany, Italy and perhaps France. I'd like to see Sweden do well, but I can't see any winners outside of that group. That said... Greece won it last time out ![]() |
