Uhm no Ed, it's a real Arcade game in Japan.

theres total 12 version of this game - STG versions* first real one for PC is nr 6
and finally for little info.... if you touch a bullet.... you die... no crap like the other STG's where you can be hit like 3 time before you actually die cuz you got a life meter...no 1hit and you die... Enjoy the madness

It's not ENTIRELY impossible because of the size of your character's hitbox, but when you consider how many bullets are spewing out and one mistake or overcorrection could kill you it's quite tough.

Yea, the key to Bullet Hells is figuring out attack patterns and placing your character precisely in the correct area. Knowing that though only makes it beatable, not easy by any means.
From personal experience from games I own it would be Queen Larsa. But, since most Bullet-Hell games have ridiculous bosses and most of them could be called the hardest in their respective rights (some more than others).Ignoring those, I would say "Red Falcon's Brain" From Contra 3.
Also, a special **** you goes out to "The Guy" and every boss from "I Wanna Be The Guy".

After desperate attempts, bad language, abusive gestures, constant profanity,
TV abuse, controller abuse, finger abuse, using second controller for continues,
extreme button mashing, console abuse, etc.
so far have proved ineffective.
I have yet to develop a winning strategy.
And due to frustration, I have been traumatized.

I play my Touhou games all the time and I still yet to find any game that is harder than them. There is no game harder in the curtain shooter category than Touhou, hands down. And the hardest boss from the games? Has to be Nue from Undefined Fantastic Object, that'll really mess up your eyes. Take it from me... I've been playing them for 5 years and counting 0_0

any boss on hard mode in ninja gaiden 2 and a couple bosses in The last Remnant really pissed me off to my breaking point (where i dont play the game for months on end) i still havent beaten it...its the only game in my collection i havent beaten and ive got about 60 games.
Well To be honest, Any boss from any Ninja Gaiden game on hard...

Sweet! You play remnant as well? i just got stuck right after the part which looks like a bunch of Hexigonal blocks that move around and a bunch of rare creatures that kick my a$$...i havent played it in about 2 months lol
Hmm.. Most of the hardest battles I recall are all from FFX. First time going through it I was severely under-levelled, so that may be the main reason. But the bosses that gave me a lot of trouble were (Flux) Seymour () but most especially Evrae. I think I battled Evrae at least 30 times, losing all battles, until I backtracked and levelled up to the assumed levels and then some.
