The badniks and the vert are the same as in Sonic 1, even. Didn't get no motobugs in Sonic 2!

The creator of a fangame called Sonic Attitude got a chance to play Sonic 4 recently and has posted his thoughts.
Some interesting things in there, particularly the stuff about the new Special Stage and how the game feels like Sonic Advance 2

kinda of a damning report though, isn't it? Fine, the game looks pretty and we've so far gathered the look and feel is promising, but pressure-sensitive jumps? Gaaah! One of the better things about the Mega Drive games was the simplicity of the control system: A, B & C were all jump and you had a set jump height. I hate progress
Good news about the Casino Zone though. I'm still salivating, but may find the game more difficult than previously thought![]()

oh. Not that I recall. I always used to jump the same whatever button I pushed. It may have been my button-bashing tendencies that caused me not to notice, eh-heh...

Look familiar?

*botnikgasm*
apparently people, for some reason, are boycotting sonic 4, and they say that on its release day, they'll buy sonic 1 instead![]()

can you still get that, or is that supposed to be ironic?
Don't know why you'd boycott it. Can't get a clear idea of a game from just screenshots. Need in-depth reviews and several of them to form an opinion. I read reviews of all games that catch my eye as potential interest. MotorStorm was panned, so I didn't get it even though I liked the premise, and not many reviewers at the time liked the next instalment Pacific Rift, but as the build progressed the reviews turned more favourable. Got that gameOf course, critics can be wrong. I've played games that have been universally panned and found them enjoyable

Screw Eggman, I don't care what his canon Japanese (and now English) name is, he is and will always be to me Dr. Ivo Robotnik.
And I'm with you Hinarei, I own and love lots of critically panned games
[Temp old sig until I can be bothered making a new one]

Robotnik makes more sense to me than Eggman, and makes it easier to give credence to his previous identity of Dr. Ovi Kintobor, the good (mad) scientistAlso, sounds more evil. All you'd need to beat Eggman would be a big whisk
Thanks fer your support, Jay. It might be more to do with the fact that I've been able to get my hands on panned games more quickly and easily, because second-hand bargain bins became full of themBut I judge each title on its merits.
I don't necessarily have a problem with Sonic referring to him as Eggman, it seems like an insult. But the fact he himself calls himself Eggman, and refers to creating an Eggmanland just seem really off for supposedly such an intelligent individual.
[Temp old sig until I can be bothered making a new one]

don't you think that Metropolis/Robotropolis sounds miles better? Eggmanland sounds like the bloke was bored, and is almost as bad as the *gulp* Mushroom Kingdom O_o
Eggman as an insult works. The guy does bear a striking resemblance![]()
something to think about
Can we ban selo from this thread?![]()
