    Dissapointing ending-series 1?

Loved the show but a few minor points in the last few episodes (21-24) detracted from the show. Whilst mei's reason for wanting her sis back was logical, keitaros lack of anger over her meddling was annoying. The fact kitsune mucked up things further annoyed me. Plus for a show which was quite straight foward why do they then decided to make keitaro say one minute he has a new promise more relevant than his child hood promise and then just cause the house is being renivated and he got a bad result he freaks. (and at this point we dont know why as its not told till end of ep 24). I did not find ep 23 intresting rather a bit disturbing and irritating. It was also irritating how mitokos help was to chop wood, how only shinobu showed real concern about keitaros well being and the family group being disrupted. Well also kentaro (by reverse psycollogy) and also that sara dougal girl (which made little sense as she dosent even like kei). Also the fact that neither naru or keitaro were any cop at reading the others feelings. Plus the fact otohime became so selfish. But then otohime tells keitaro naru is upset ( if she is trying to lure him away why even mention that?) And keitaros reaction to that was disapointing. Also it was odd how keitaros more pervy friends werent ever brought to justice but stalker kentaro got brought to justice 2 times.

Well, yeah, I can't say that the Love Hina is the best adaptation. If you haven't done so, I'd recommend reading the manga, way better.

You should also check the spring and christmas special and the Love Hina Again series, which I guess help in delivering closure. You can skip the motoko special though, its not relevant

Thanks. I watched the motoko one though, it was quite funny but was a filler episode. I watched the animee school rumble which had a way worse ending. I would just like to see keitaro and naru get married or something as they are still at the get jealous and then mad at each other stage.

Well, you're gonna be happy with the manga then . And well, about school rumble, did you watch both seasons and the san gakki ovas? I can't say it was the best ending either, but, I think overall its definitely better than Love Hina.

The ending was atleast kinda true to it's origin.
Although i would've liked them animation everything and not cut off the part between nigakki and sangakki

I dont read manga. By the way whats the difference between an ova and normal episode? I wacthed both seasons dont know what u mean by ova. Ps just watched the extra episodes for love hina and I thought the specials were some of the best episdoes of the series. But what happened in love hina again? I mean they had made shinobu a little taller and her face a bit older in the specials, they had also made her more assertive but she lost all that again in the 2nd season. Youd think she would have noticed her reverting to how she used to be. And the ending for ep 3, could they not just have had them putting photos in a scrapbook after all they had all said they were cool with it.

    ---------------------------------------------

Ideas on how the series could have been better

    1. Motoko as more of a love intrest than shinobu, more clashes between her and naru
    2. The old men where did they go (towards the end)?
    3. Haruka - not much character development
    4. Kitsune - did she like keitaro or not? Remains unclear
    5. Kentaro - liked how he changed over the specials and extra episodes should have had him in more like.
    6. No lines like " I have a walk in part". I like shows that dont do that!
    7. Where the hell did that scrap book go?

Well, ova stands for original video animation or something like that. The difference I guess is that these aren't usually shown when the anime airs normally, and are almost always either sold separately on dvd's or bundled together with a dvd volume.

For school rumble, theres the first season, then 2 ovas, then comes the second season, and then theres another 2 ovas (san gakki).

As for the mangas, i know they require a lot of time, im not a big fan of reading either, but I think reading love hina is definitely worth it, specially given what you said in some of your previous replies and most of the suggestions you posted, I think you'll enjoy it.

Mei, amalla, the possessed doll. All these characters that really didn't add anything to the story.

Aw... No Kentaro love huh? That's ok, I only liked him for the same reason I liked Kanako: Both of them were straightforward with their intentions compared to their rival counterparts.

On topic, the manga is definitely worth checking out since it brings the meat to the plot compared to the rather lackluster anime plot. The execution of the plot is also much better.
