I like Kanako, mostly because she has a cute, long cowlick/ahoge and her younger self looks like Nodoka.

I've told this story before, but that was years ago, and darn it, I feel like telling it again![]()
I first fell in love with Motoko when a very good friend of mine showed me Love Hina at our local anime club. He knew I had a Kikyo obsession, and seeing as how Motoko parodies my favorite undead miko, he thought it would be good for a laugh to see my reaction to her. Little did he realize what he was setting in motion . . .
I don't know exactly WHAT my friend was expecting, or what kind of shows he thought I'd like. Probably all mecha, or action, or something like that. But I saw Motoko, and it was love at first sight. I fell hard. We watched the whole show, and then I started collecting the manga. I returned to my former interest in martial arts, and even took to reading Japanese sword texts -- all to be closer to Aoyama-hime.
One particularly funny story, though, has to do with when we watched the episode where Toko-chan appears for the first time. I was imperious, demanding we keep watching until we got to see the "episode with the miko." At the end, when Motoko is laying there in her futon grumbling about how she's going to keep an eye Keitaro, my friend was like, "I don't want Motoko talking about me in her sleep -- that would be CREEPY", and my response was something on the order of, "Creepy? That would be HOT!" At which point he recoiled in horror.
Ironically, a couple of days later, I came down with a cold, and wound up laying in bed, thinking of Motoko as I drifted in and out of consciousness. Sigh -- I miss you, Miss Aoyama. But how I fell I fell in love with Kanako -- that's a different story . . .

It's ironic that he called me creepy in light of the fact that our friendship started when he loaned me his copy of Gantz!

The board still does not let me rep you, so I am thanking you. The coming down with a cold thing crowns it. Waiting for the Kanako story.
By the way, have you ever thought about that both Aoyama sisters have a -ko name, and so does Keitaro's sister, but the rest of the families have been more modern about naming their daughters?

rep spread's set at 5, Kataja, so you'll have to find more people worthy of rep before you can shower points on Amm again. You're almost there though. One more person
You can always tell you love someone when you think of them while you're ill. That's a good point. Gives you the urge to get better quick
Well, the Aoyamas strike me as the most traditionally-centred familes in the series, for obvious reasons. With the possible exception of Kaolla's lot, because you'd reckon there was a fair bit of time-honoured ritual in their ceremonies and ways of thinking, being an island kingdom. Of course, they're not Japanese
Kanako is named in a traditional way, but could this be something to do with the half-relative thing? Haruka's an Urashima, but she hasn't a -ko suffix to her name.
Kitsune! I love me a girl who can drink without wussing out after 1 shot
I also like Kanako. I like her aggressivness and her sense of fashion. Gothic/Scene fashion is very sexy..![]()
I like Mutsumi, 'cause she doesn't have anger issues all the damn time!! HMMMMMM!!!!
She's really laid back and just goes with the flow, and I like that![]()

Lust for Toko-chan's panties sounds like some extra sword practice for Miss Kendo.

ahhh, i remember when i first saw Mutsumi-san...at that time i ad already started liking Naru but after seeing mutsumi i dropped naru like a sack of blood sausage. i decided right then and there i would dedicate my life to finding a girl like her (without the health issues, but thats ok too, beggars cant be choosers) or my beloved Chizuru.

A TRAGICAL STORY

Hmm.. how did I fall in love with a particular LH character? Let me begin this with a quote, "he saved me. In every way a person could be saved..."
He just brought life.. er, or death, to the series. I mean, you have your run of the mill good-intentioned-dork (Keitaro), and multitudes of females who like hitting said gold-hearted doofus, but nobody quite stood out like the character i fell in love with. You see, he went unnoticed but he noticed everything. he was the outcast. a tragic story.
I think most of you didn't even notice him, which proves my point. Were you even watching the show, or reading the manga, or what? Proof, for those of you who only pay attention to the chests.
Too busy looking at Naru taking a bath to notice one of the deepest LH characters. Shame on you all.
