Certainly was worth it, also this picture here seems to confirm Raiden's appearance.
Raiden's cool, but of the two, who would you rather have glaring at you in an oversized first post pic
Maybe it'll be twin timelines game. e.g. one raiden chap, one BB chap .etc

I've heard some rumors that it's the start of some kind of series which will show the unseen parts of some characters lives. Of course you can never usually trust rumors.
I've always said they should do a game covering the part of how raiden rescued sunny!
Next image, appears shortly after the Big Boss one and I don't know if this is Raiden, there are a few differences. There also quite a few letters/numbers now, the letters are:
S/5, R, P, E, C, @/e, O.
And the numbers are
5/S, 3, 6, 0

The two new letters appearing are "R" and "P", adding to the current list of "S", "E", "e", and the number "3".
a second teaser site titled "MASK" has appeared as well. Unfortunately, neither site provide any details apart from images (and some music, in the case of the latter). The kojipro symbol on the bottom right of NEXT morphs into a link to mask, and the storm site has increased in volume and intensity noticably.

Maybe they have some sort of connection. I still also think that it might not be Raiden, as far as I know, Raiden never had what appears to be a bar code on his head and Raiden has blue eyes, not brown.
Edit: I've also just heard that in an interview with Hideo Kojima, he said that this person is neither Snake nor Big Boss, it's another clone. I'll try finding out from a legitimate source.

That'd be pushing it, it's retcon enough that they took the abortion count from 6 to five in order to introduce solidus,the point of conceiving octuplets was to abort the majority of them in order to encourage the strong fetal growth, 4 BB clones sounds unlikely, so I'm sticking with the Big Boss hope.
As for the mask image, nice work on that combination, it's well done, but it was a given that it would link to the NEXT site, the Kojipro symbol on NEXT malformed into the link to MASK.

Fair enoigh, Raiden and Big Boss it is. I'm trying to think of what the letters and numbers could mean and I'm taking a look at the interview with Hideo. A lot of it was blanked out to keep some things secret, you can read it here. The bit that interests me is this:
Kojima: This time, only the image of this guy will appear. Then lighting. Just this appearing, I want everyone to guess. This is how XX's will be appearing.
Hamamura: This...is Big Boss?
Kojima: XX's way of appearing is slightly different.
Hamamura: Eh? Different...?
From this all i can say confidently is that the next Metal Gear game may not be a Solid series game. Could pick up a new extension like ac!d did.

THis is kojima we're talking about it could be 2 projects, or he could be allowing it to spread as a distraction, OR being kojima he could cancel the entire game due to the leak and release something else, then turn a blind eye to the fact that an MGS fan infiltrated John Koller's home and CQC'd him to death.

ARGH! That would be awful. Still, Fox is probably right, could be two projects. I guess all will be revealed at E3.
Till then let us try guessing or figuring out stuff D: and a mgs touch would be a disaster i wouldnt like it but yeah D: lets hope it sticks to a storyline or something intresting

I haven't been able to make anything of it and the countdown ends in about 6 hours. The countdown background seems to have calmed down now and it is nice and sunny.
ONe thing I've remembered actually.
Grey fox had blonde hair and brown eyes, and was a cyborg ninja himself, the forehead is possible as it was obstructed by his helmet in MGS1. I'd guess this game is between portable and Zanzibar somewhere.
Also Lightning to Sunny seems fairly Raiden saving Sunny-ish
