"Today some of the cast for the tv adoption to Mahou Sensei Negima was made public. The following roles were announced:

Hiroshi Nao as Takamichi T. Takahata
Aikawa Nao as Shizuna Minamoto
Kashiwa Yukina as Negi Springfield

The story in Mahou Sensei Negima follows 10-year old Negi Springfield who is a magician in training to become a master wizard. As his last exam he must become an English teach in an all-female boarding school.

Negima was born a manga, will die a manga. It wont be live-action. It loses the cuteness and cheekiness of it.

To be honest, Ken seems to be on the road heading towards profitering rather than quality for fans.

It is more of a "it sounded like a good idea at the time" sort of thing...

I will probably watch it to see, but it would of been good if they spent time over the look of the characters

That Negi actually does a good job when all the make up/hair n stuff are applied..but aint he supposed to be welsh lol. Meh guess im asking for too much since its IMPOSSIBLE to find such a kid. but yea...not bad, not bad at all

I was thinking what was harder to find, the loch ness monster or a 10 Year Old Welsh-Born Kid who can speak Japanese...

Pity Negi is the ONLY one who matches up properly with the character...

I am still wanting to see this... maybe the acting will make up for the lack of looks

Takamichi looks like he is supposed to be in a Mafia-type film
Konoemon looks like something out of a Sci-Fi Film
And Shizuna is cute...
And they have done something with 'Marus hair...

Negi, The Dean and Takahata are the only ones I got upon first glance.

Negis hair looks awesomely similar to the manga version!

But, do you think Takahata looks a bit too young? He doesnt look like a 30 year old man, which wont really help push forward the comic relationship between him and asuna to the audience.
