Negima Live Action Discussion thread

For those wondering why there's no Negima this week till July 3-4th it's because Ken is on a break again.

Probably because he wants time with his cosplaying wife



Instead we get the Live Action Negima class roster



I can make out some of the hairstyles like Fuuka and Fumika, Makie, Chao, Chisame.

The one I like is Hakase's actress. Glasses and pigtails (Ok I'm glasses man sue me!)

For most of them they are pretty hard to see them out except for hair style
and why all black hair?

lol interesting. All black hair...because some people don't like wigs and/or dyes. And it'd be easier to have their natural hair color I guess.

Yeah, I know some might not want to wear wig or dye their hair... but it doesnt help the character... Makies,Fuka,Fumika's hair are Pink

I have to agree. It helps identify the char. And hair color is also part of the char' s identity.

where is Chisame's glasses? Why can you see Nodoka's face? It makes no sense and makes me sad :-(

Maybe this is just some early screen tests or something? I hope so, because as attractive as these young ladies are, they don't look much like the girls we're so fond of. I don't think wigs or dye are such a big deal -- if you want the role, that's a small price to pay. I'm getting a bit worried now, too. Hopefully this isn't the final vesion. The Kaede actress is cute, though

I can't see this working when in general they all have the same colour hair...

and several things are wrong ('maru, Chisame, Nodoka) as has been said

I hope these are early pictures as this isnt going to work with all black hair come to think of it a few more are not right

Misora, Zazie, Ako, Kazumi dont have hair like their counterparts

I am not suprise that Ken had decided to do a live action version of the Negima series. I do think that both anime versions of the series are much more fairer to the manga series. The two anime series give respect to each of the thirty-one characters.

I hope that there will not be an American version of the series. If Ken agrees to allow an American version, let's hope that it is an anime series, and the setting of the series is in Japan.

It will be about a 1-10% chance of that happening... it would be unlikely for it to offically reach america and most likely to stay in Japan properly...

Its not something Im looking forward to on those pictures due to the laziness of the people coming up with the costumes, ok they look the part on the clothes but the hair is wrong, they arent all black, there is Pink, Blue, Green, Yellow... and several parts are missing as well

and nodoka isnt hiding her eyes!

I agree with you FanofKaede! Eva has to be blonde! Oh man... I have a bad feeling about this live action series if that photo shoot was meant to be the final decision...
