Thread: Blind or Deaf?

Yeah, i asked myself this question about 10 years ago and i still can't think of the best answer.

So i'm asking you guys.
What would be your choice if you had to choose between being blind or deaf.
ofcourse we will never have to choose (thank god), but i am just curious

really? i can't live without music, but i can't live without anime and manga aswell
so this is really a hard choice for me

could easily go in SSF this, Yon...

To me, my hearing is precious, but I would think less so than my sight. I think I would struggle if I lost any of my senses, but would on balance consider it less of a problem losing my hearing.

...I don't mean to make that sound like a flippant decision though -_-

I chose deaf. Other wise I cant play video games, watching anime and there would be no point going to japan. But I still hope neither happen.

I'm abstaining.... conflict of interest .


Being the definition of legally blind has that right.

I dun know... if i were to lose one, then ill lose my eyes. The incessant silence would drive me mad i think, and I would still be able to talk with people in the normal manner, and a love relationship would be muuuch easier. Plus, that way i would have an obligatory guiding dog OR ...ZOMG! lazor firin cyborg eyes! WOOT. Which are much cooler than cyborg ears. Then again...... Vgames and teh internet and anime would be missed a lot

I'd be blind, then I could be like DareDevil, and Instead of worrying about sunglasses, I'd just wrap a fancy cloth around my eyes like a blindfold or something, s'cept i'd make it look cool even though i wouldn't be able to see m'self.

I value my sight over my hearing...but both are pretty important in the long run. I chose I'd rather be deaf, but then there's no music...but if I chose blindness, no drawing. Hmmm...

If im blind, ill be invulnerable to the filthy evil powers of porn and hentai!

What about porn with sound? You could still hear it!

I was leaning towards blind, but then again, then I couldn't use the internet, or read.

But then I have to LEARN it. That sounds like effort.
