Youtube and Flash works fine for me, it's the downloads that bothers me

I used to use IE for a long time because I didn't feel I needed to switch, but since I got my new computer I have been using nothing but Firefox.

downloaded and installed yesterday, not really tried it out yet.

The Private Browsing mode (similar to Safari's, methinks) is rather good, although that's always going to be a misleading name. The support for other video codecs is a welcome touch, but I don't expect to get much out of that for a little while at least.

Didn't know there was a private browsing mode
    Kinda like Incognito on Chrome

Well, everything tells me FX 3.5 is better than chrome. It's nearly as fast, has better hjavascript compatibility and security...

Yet I'm still used to using Chrome I dunno, I like chrome

I use google chrome since I hate waiting ever since the CPU speed went above 25MHz. Don't really use all the add-ons I had on Firefox, but some were cool. Just made firefox slow and a clean firefox vs chrome. chrome still wins.

And I don't really see what's so special about downthemall, just install bit torrent and if you use either or both firefox and IE, check integration and voilla, you can use bit torrent and the entire p2p network as a download accelerator. I always downloaded near the theoretical max of my connection with direct downloads.

But now I'm constantly downloading using torrents and usenet so when I download via direct download I'll just see when it's done.

    [edit]

    Forgot my rant on IE..

Well I always hated IE, always crashing, slow as hell.. Then I also learned that MS took the HTML standard and made it's own interpetation of it. Then I really despised IE. Even more when I started making web pages and stuff. There are always some issues so you need to edit your code to make it right for all browsers.. but IE always requires some additional work after that.

And I was laughing my butt off when I was browsing MS's site. It had advertizement for IE8... It said that IE 8 was the quickest browser there was.. That was based on user experience rather then statistics... That way they can lie and still be right.

I've been using Firefox since a couple of months after the first version came out, and loved it since. I used IE before that so it was a step up. I used other browsers too but I didn't like the way Opera's layout was so continued with Firefox.

I also love the addons for Firefox, I don't have it overloaded with stuff, just some small tweaks here and there, along with Adblock Plus (I can't live without it).

I agree, IE also pissed me off when I used to make web pages. Something was always a bit off compared to other browsers making me go back.

For you to win someone else has to lose.

AdBlock Plus is a great little extension, that's true

My word, Mr.A, that's a lot of bile spouted at IE there I don't like the program either, and it's good news to hear that Microsoft are going to take steps to unbundle it from their operating systems in future. Why did it win the browser wars? Because it was better than alternatives or because of MS's clout?
