Thread: Just quote it!

Have you ever finished reading a book and one, tiny, particular sentence was the only thing you could remember afterwards? Have you ever gotten so addicted to a given witty comeback you're considering tattooing in large, bold letters, hoping more people will fall in love with it? Here's the place where you can achieve that without resorting to such extreme methods! Share the experience, be it humorous, saddening or just plain awesome!

Oh, and don't forget to refer what the book and author you took it from is.

well, yeah, I only used "phrase" as an example. Basically choose a small excerpt or paragraph, or phrase you particularly enjoyed in a book of your choice and post it here!

One of my favourite Discworld quotes was from Detritus, in Feet of Clay:

'Dis is police brutality . . .' Igneous muttered.
'No, dis is just police shoutin'!' yelled Detritus. 'You want to try for brutality it okay wit' me!'
