I ask that you wait awhile, I am trying to get the help of RPinc and others to help me put together a list of guidelines for the RP section, so that it might be more enjoyable for all of us.

That's what should really happen. It''ll be more efficient and in depth. Besides whilst the rules you stated are good they have some problems:
1 - We can't block them from the RP section, unless it were a restricted access forum, which nobody wants
2 - The creator isn't always the most responsible person and therefore you can't leave everything up to them without them forgetting something or messing up. Though the application of this can vary depending upon the subject
3 - Moderators can't always be sorting out your small messes so just allow someone with more experience to advise you on what you need. Additionally if people butt in ignore the crap out of them, it's a non-existent post, don't overcome any hindrance they provide by appearing out of nowhere, wait for them to do something properly or else they flat out don't exist.

I think that a overall code cannot be enforced. Wouldn't that be kind of unfair at times?
However... I think that there should be a good set of guidelines publically displayed in the forum. (Why hasn't there been? )

But as far as 'rules' or 'code'... that should be determined by the creator of the particular RP itself...
Exclusive participation, conduct, etcetera...

There really shouldn't be infractions for RP misconduct... unless it entrenches on forum rules such as Harassment and whatnot...

If someone is acting improperly in the RP, then the GM should tell them, and if necessary, ask them to leave.
If they continue posting, then Bal-sama should be PMed to remove posts.

I'm working already on modifying Dischord's guide to roleplaying to also include roleplay creation.

Why do I fear, though, that anything coming from that end will be FAAAR too complex for us here? T__T

Remember, we're not as hardcore of an RP group as you guys are... We've got to take that into consideration. <__<;;;

I'm using Dischord's RP guide which was meant to be a guide to Gaia Online RP, and I'm already editing a lot of stuff and making it less...insulting.

That's generally how it is at the moment. If it isn't then it's the fault of whichever person neglected to do so and just wrote, fight join here ;P
The punishment system though, is unchangeable, bal can remove and there's nothing else we can do. so just holler if anyone barges in and god mods so that [insert name of godmodder who harrases RPers here] can get kicked.

The only thing I'd really like to do is to set up some guidelines for newer RPers, rather then a hardcore set of rules. Of course the RPer whom started the thread is welcome to change and choose what belongs in his RP as he sees fit is still acceptable.

I just want something for all RPers to access if ever a question comes to mind or they wish to learn a little more of their trade

Josun, your concerns will be handled in the thread creation section of the guide.

Sure, an RP guideline would be great so I totally agree with that, except not yours.
I believe the RPInc would be more qualified to make a set of these rules. Which is what they're doing at the moment. 3 small rules that are just there to help YOUR RP is very "universal" now is it?

I go for the motion of allowing the RPInc to create some more reasonable rules.

Besides, I'm helping to draft a general guideline for the entire section, not some 4th rate RP.

Like Bal and many others said, the brigade is working on some guidelines, however your concerns Josun are going to be covered.

In my opinion, the creator of the thread has every right to continue to rp with the story that they choose. Those who don't like it may very well stay out of it and not bother those who are rping. Unfortunately the world doesn't work like that. -.-

The guidelines in the works are not really hardcore, it really only covers the basics like Godmodding (the big no-no rule). The owner is able to set up their own rules if they please, but be warned that the owner is responsible for maintaining the peace as much as possible (the responsibility of creating a thread). Moderators are only a last resort. Banning people from an rp will be hard as Yuan said. However I don't agree with how Yuan worded "Moderators can't always be sorting out your small messes so just allow someone with more experience to advise you on what you need." Mods are very busy but their job is to help, seeking advice is good, but remember that the mods are not just going to say "solve it yourself". Only seek the mod's help when there is nothing else you can do and the problem still persists.

The only thing we can do is infract which will probably not happen as often. So for now I'd suggest ignoring and dealing the best you can, unless it really gets out of hand.

I suggest that this should be in the RP forum. It's cluttering up the suggestion box
