    Canadian Plz

So, this is in the running to be the new Canadian anthem. They're deciding based on a poll. I know most of the members here are hardcore Canadaphiles, so I'm sure you have a lot to say.

I honestly laugh at the USA when they laugh at Canada. It's like USA 2.0 up there.

The Olympics are over, time to stop caring about Canada.

I found this music that shows the Canadian national pride very cool. By the way, Canada is a great country. Unfortunately, the Brazilians are patriotic only during the games of National soccer team...

Oh, and the girl on this clip is very cute, huh?

    Can't. Hockey

The beat's too difficult for an official anthem. There's basically five types of anthem
    • the Latin American epic anthems: Possibly the easiest to identify, these are found in Latin American (Spanish-speaking Central and South America) countries and tend to be rather long, have an epic quality in the music, often containing both a quick, patriotic section of music, and a slower, stately part, and consist of many verses, many of them of the "hnur, hnur" variety.
    • The Western hymn: The oldest type of anthem, originating in Europe and common to European monarchies and their former colonies, they are stately and smooth in style.
    • The European march: Often used by non-monarchical European nations, and often by socialist nations, and/or nations born in revolution, these anthems are in a march style and often speak of war.
    • Eastern "Folk": Anthems that are reminiscent of the "national style" of music, often adapted from folk music, and sometimes utilize native instruments.
    • Arab fanfare: Common to states in the Persian Gulf (usually sheikdoms or otherwise ruled by royalty) at one point in their history, so-called because these are short anthems consisting of little more than a fanfare and flourish. They often have no words either.

This, while worth a listen, fits none of those categories, so is unfit for official anthemage.

By the way, this thread remember me a song that I like much:

    Pilot - Canada (1976)

    A look out California
    Ooo-ooo, I gotta warn ya
    Here comes Canada

Canada, you got an open door
    You got so many things
I swear, I never saw them before
So much more, you got a world in store
You got a home from home, got a hold so strong
    Can't seem to ignore

    These things I do
I do for nobody else but me

    A look out California
    Ooo-ooo, I gotta warn ya
    Here comes Canada

    Canada, you proved your worth
You got snow peaked mountains tumbling down
    You had them from birth
Say it clear, so the world can hear
I swear I never left you
    Without shedding a tear

    These things I do
I do for nobody else but me

    A look out California
    Ooo-ooo, I gotta warn ya
    Here comes Canada

    These things I do
I do for nobody else but me

    A look out California
    Ooo-ooo, I gotta warn ya
    Here comes Canada ...

My little tribute to Canadian members from Animeb.
