    Primier League 2010-2011

Soooo, in just a few days, the most interesting professional football league in the world (yes, I called it football. I can differentiate) will FINALLY begin. I'm absolutely looking forward to it and didn't see a thread, soo....yeah.

Who's your pick to take home the league this year? As a Manchester United supporter, I of course see the Reds taking back what is RIGHTFULLY THEIRS, especially with Chicharito coming in to take the load from Rooney and Berbatov showing excellent form in both friendlies and the Community Shield (which MANCHESTER UNITED WON 3-1, might I add?)

    Your thoughts?

PrIMIER League eh?! . Anyways, in the english league you don't have much choices, these last few years it has been Chelsea or Man Utd.

Chelsea just got 1 new guy (benayoun) and got rid of a couple of 'important' players, like deco, ballack, belleti, etc. Man Utd. on the other hand, just signed young people: Javier Hernandez, Smalling and this new unknown portuguese guy Bebe. They always say 'this year city will be a challenge', but they don't really compete with the former two. It'd be nice if it was a closer compeition, hopefully liverpool, arsenal, newcastle, everton will be up to the challenge.

    ...Newcastle?

Man U for me, simple as that. Then again, I would've said that last year...

However, I could imagine a big shake up in the top 4. Chelsea will be there, but the remaining 2 places will be genuinely fought for between Arsenal, Spurs, Everton, Man City and Liverpool (if they get their act together). It'll make for an interesting contest!

Relegation fodder: Newcastle, Blackpool, West Brom, Wolves, Bolton, Blackburn, Wigan, West Ham, even Villa might be in trouble if they don't get their house in order. It's such an unstable league...

This year, I will be callin' the Premier League by another name.... ADRIAN.

    Predos time!

    Winners: Man United
Champions League: Chelsea, Arsenal, Man City/Tottenham
    UEFA/Europa: Man City/Tottenham, Everton, Liverpool
Down: Any 3 from Wigan, Blackpool, Bolton, West Brom (who take pleasure in this), West Ham, Wolves. Most likely Blackpool, West Brom, Bolton

Arsenal could win. They'd just have to incapacitate the entire Chelsea and Man U squads until at least March and even then it might not be enough.

I've heard a lot of good things about Bebe. Apparently, in a homeless footy tournament, he scored 40 goals in 6 games. I don't care who you're playing. That's impressive.

eh... that's embarrassingly bad opposition. Even my Sunday team wasn't that bad. We were bad, though.

hereby predicting the first "Heeeeeeeeeeey, hey Bebe! (ooh, ahh!)... etc." chant?

And West Ham signed a Mexican who doesn't want to play for them but sees the club as a possible stepping stone to bigger clubs. Yeah, we're doing things the right way!

I actually don't think Man City are going to improve on last year. The signings they've made might well be good for them, but £200k per week for Mario Balotelli and the like is manifestly bad judgement. I'm a Hammer, I know what I'm talking about in this regard

yes, that's as may be, but joining and saying before he's even kicked a ball for us that he wants to move on isn't a great way to ingratiate yourself to the fans or commit to the club, is it? Be fair

how about saying he wants us to win some silverware then he'll be off? Might have worked better.

Well, at least you know he'll be trying really hard , even if only to get out of a bad team, good news to the fans nonetheless

I know loyalty is a foreign concept to many professional footballers, but he still shouldn't have said it Damn Mexicans

Hammers kick off their campaign at an uncertain Villa. Martin O'Neil's departure so close to the start of the season may be unsettling, and we need to take advantage of that Then we've got one of my favourite teams, Bolton, at home followed up by a home time against Oxford in the Carling Cup. Starting early this year...

yeps First game of the season, lads, it's always a bit of an odd one. Wait'll the season gets rolling and come back to me in November time, see how things are panning out

By that time West Ham will like as not be above Villa and Blackpool will be starting to come to terms with how difficult some games can be in the Premiership. Wigan were worse than West Ham yesterday, and that takes some doing

Think of what damage Villa could have done if they were still playing under O'Neill

    Chelsea are just ridiculous.

Chelsea looked good against West Brom, and as always, they got lucky. Let's see how they do against the big boys this year. I'm counting down the hours until Manchester vs Newcastle. It'll be interesting for me to see what Javier Hernandez can do now that the games count. Excited as always!!

Chelsea would look good in their first competitive outing of the season at home against a newly-promoted side Hitting the Baggies for six was just arrogance

Who're "Manchester"? You mean United? Then it's "Man U" or "the Devils" please. Saying Manchester on its own makes you sound so very American Man U weren't the first League club to use "Manchester" in their name, see. That was City
