    Windows and Linux Dual-boot

So I noticed that several people use a dual-boot, and I'm curious as to when you guys use linux and when you use windows. Personally I have a pretty lame answer which is just my mood, usually I'll just use XP since it's the OS I'm most familiar with, but from time to time I'll play around it Ubuntu. I think Ubuntu looks and works better, except for all the missing .msi programs
Which brings me to the other question, which linux do you use with Windows, and what do you feel your linux OS contributes with, or vice versa.

I was just thinking about this, that alot of people do it.
i used to dualboot, but when i noticed i hardly use Ubuntu, well pretty much never, i thought it was a waste to dualboot in the first place

That's what I'm thinking too, I very rarely use Ubuntu, I just can't overcome my love for msn messenger I think though to celebrate ubuntu, I'll go use it now after this clarinet concerto has finished.

Did you have the normal ubuntu or the netbook remix? I tried the netbook remix, but it thought it was very cluttered and laggy, I don't know what I did wrong, assuming it's supposed to work better with notebooks than the standard version

    Pardon me :O
A oboe sounds so vague compared to a clarinet, and I was listening to Mozart's Clarinet Concert, but if you insist I will have to listen to the oboe concert as well.
As for linux, I'm certain Mozart would have approved of it.

Mozart would approve of any modern day applicant
Uhm yeah listen to it, it's probably my favorite piece.
I'll look up the clarinet concerto aswell

Well, if I'm gonna play a game, I'll use windows. If I'm doing some application developing (e.g. Animeb ff ext, animebash, survey, hobby projects) I'll use ubuntu due to the better tools and performance and better integration with each other that it offers (shell, svn, apache, php, git, mysql, gvim, etc)

if I'm just gonna browse/chat/watch anime then I'll go with either

My laptop was dual-boot, Ubuntu with XP. I made it so that if I didn't press any buttons Ubuntu would start which I would use for browsing, watching aninme and all my programming. XP was for gaming.

With Win 7 I decided to start anew and I hadn't been bothered to prepare it (or my PC) for dual-boot. Probably because my programming has come to a halt mostly. What I do now can be done with the compiler that comes with window
