Hello again? Because I have been away for so long...

Hi there, I am back again after a long absence. And discovered my Friend's List to be empty.

I guess everyone forgot about me. Can't blame them. And in any case, I had precious few friends when I was around anyway. But I remember a OkageSpencer who commented on some post I made about Negima. And Kathryn who invited me to join this Sonic Revolution Brigade.

And some others.

I never really did say Farewell when I disappeared. Because I never really thought I was going away for good. It was just like Harold and Kumar searching for a White Castle. I just stepped out for what I thought was a quick errand, and before I knew it, I was away for years.

I had many adventures since I last visited this forum. Too many to relate at once. But if any old timers who remember me have questions, I will be glad to chat and catch up.

You joined at about the same time I did iirc, right? Welcome back!

But do try to tell us some of those adventures. They must've been some real doozies to keep you away for this long.

we're all ears. Except Miroku. He's the sorta "Sidney Lopsides" of the board. We don't let him go out without a bag over his head. He's not particularly gruesome, but he can cause an unnerving feeling that you should be the other way up

welcome back, Teck'oh! Glad you found us again. The Sonic Revolution Brigade? Well, there's a group, don't know if the Brigade's got much impetus at the moment, but you could kickstart it again if you wish

Well, for starters, I have been distracted by IRC first then Facebook. After I jumped on the Facebook bandwagon, I just lost track of time!

Now I am sort of more stabilized now. Sober you might say.

Secondly, I have been working as a security guard. And last year for instance, I faced some trouble at work. The year before last I was just working 72 hour work weeks. Pretty tough. Back then I barely have enough time to let my friends know I am alive.

But I think the main reason why I dropped off the Animeb wagon was due to the closure of a manga/anime shop in my neighbourhood several years ago. There was this shop which opened till 12 midnight and you can rent manga to read by the hour. They charge just 2 bucks per hour and all the manga you can read. There's also anime rental.

Anyway, without this shop, I found it hard to get my manga/anime fix. I don't collect manga you understand. I can't afford to. That shop with its 2-bucks-per-hour-and-all-the-manga-you-can-read deal was the only way I could keep myself tuned to the manga world. After the shop closed, I couldn't get that fix and found myself unable to really keep up with the manga or anime discussions going on. So I drifted away.

And now I am back just to chill. I still can't find a nearby shop where I can get my fix, so I won't be able to comment on the latest manga posts.

Indeed. Group was started by panzykitty, and she also posted a quiz back when we had that function available.

As Betong said, there's usually going to be some links somewhere so's you can read manga online, fan-translated stuff (they tend to be bullied into taking things down if they're on general release

)

Manga Fox, Manga Toshokan, and One Manga are three good sources. Oh! And also Manga Helpers, but I don't have a link to that place.
