The anime series Maou Gakuin no Futekigousha has been suspended indefinitely

The second season of Maou Gakuin no Futekigousha (The Misfit of Demon King Academy), the anime adaptation of the light novels written by Shu and illustrated by Yoshinori Shizuma, has been suspended indefinitely, according to the show's official website (the sixth).

Maou Gakuin no Futekigousha Synopsis

An ancient conflict between humans and demons resulted in immense mayhem and bloodshed. The Demon King Anos Voldigoad willingly gave his life in order to put an end to this struggle that seemed to go on forever, hoping to be resurrected in a time of peace. The demon race established the Demon King Academy, a prestigious institution tasked with ascertaining Anos' identity when he awakens, in anticipation of the return of their king. When he is resurrected two millennia later, he is shocked to find that the amount of magic in the world has significantly decreased.

In addition, he learns that the demons have a different memory of him when he enrolls in the academy to claim his legitimate title. His character, his actions, and even his legacy have been fabricated and concealed under a false identity. His "lack" of common knowledge makes him the academy's outlier and an outcast unlike any other in recorded history. Anos is unfazed by these problems. He takes it upon himself to convince his descendants that their monarch has at last returned as he sets out to unearth those who would change his great past.
