You mean it's just like a new version/copy of that really great anime/manga! What's it called again? Azumanga Daioh! Yeah, that's the stuff

I like the cardboard box look, Negi. You're hiding those under your bed or something?

Handy for moving them around/stacking them non the less, I guess

    [action=wlf-kun]don't really know non-metric units[/action]

I do know a foot-long sandwich is quite long, though

Here's a picture of my collection:

Actually I would like to keep all my manga volumes on display, but their size is so wrong (uneconomical) for my bookshelves, so I rather put them in drawers. Besides, I use some of my dictionaries much more often than any single comic book.

Well, I have some mangas and comics titles in my house:

    Manga:

    2) X-1999

    3) Video Girl Ai

    4) Shin-Chan

    5)Black Lagoon

    Ocidental Comics

    1) Monica's Gang (Brazil)

    2) Monica's Teen Gang (Brazil-Japan)

    3) Asterix (France)

    4) Tintin and Snowy (Belgium)

And LH and Negima, of course!

I've been meaning to get GTO, but I can never be bothered to read the first volume I've got in Japanese. Feels too much like studying

    Negima 1-17
A bunch of Initial D volumes (which I want to sell, TokyoPop's translation SUCKS)
    Hayate the Combat Butler 1-2
    Galaxy Angel 1-5
    Azumanga Daioh 3-4
    Shakugan no Shana 1
    Yu-Gi-Oh Duelist 1-2

I'd recommend Initial D but read the scanlations, unless Yen Press or Kodansha USA gets it (TokyoPop lost the license)

Oh, wow, that's one hell-of-a drawback I never even imagined; studying Japanese to be able to read jap manga and wath un-subed anime (and some other, less important, stuff like a job I presume), but then ending up with all Japanese feeling like home work :O Such a cruel cruel world...

Good stuff, but getting vol 1 and 2 would probably be worth your money as well

Oh hell yeh, Japan's basically had all the fun sucked out of it for me.

    Really sad to hear.

Foreign languages never do that to me. Instead, learning beyond a certain level makes me feel "free to move" in a new dimension. It is quite the opposite of doing homework, where limits were set by what the schoolbooks had to offer and what had been taught so far.

Then again, I have only faced languages of Europe. Entering the world of kanji, kun'yomi, on'yomi and friends might suck me dry enough, too.

I reckon when (if ) I graduate, I might get the spark back. At the minute, it just reminds me that I should be doing work.

That's a shame. I never considered that. Properly learning the language means immersing yourself in it and treating everything as a learning experience Shame you can't have fun with it at the moment.

Yikes @ all Soro's pictorial evidence. Feel quite inadequate now

I'm going to be moving to my new house within the next x weeks, I hope. Some time soon, anyway. I still won't have room to put all my books/comics on display, but at least I'll get a proper idea of all the stuff I actually own I've not bought any manga for quite some time though.
