The badge is "H5", the badge of Harald V, King of Norway, and is carried by most of the Norwegian Army. It's quite common. (IN Norway, that is... Dunno where your crazy online adventures have led you)

I've understood that. Some do in Norway as well (special forces), but mostly you'll have to distinguish regiments on their beret colour or badges on shoulders etc. Hæren is quite a lot smaller than the British Army, anyway. Originally Posted by The Emperor
